The 5 passengers missing on the Titanic Sub.
More details about the five occupants of the private submersible that vanished while on an expedition to study the Titanic’s ruins are becoming known as the search and rescue operation for it continues.
British businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his adolescent son Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet are among the confirmed travelers. Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate, the company that operates the boat, is also on deck.
The excursion was promoted by OceanGate as a chance to be one of the select few to witness the Titanic firsthand. According to the company’s website, the cost to reserve a place aboard the ship was $250,000. OceanGate, however, asserted that the journey was not simply a vacation and that each of its dives had a distinct scientific purpose.
Harding declared he was “proud” to be joining the expedition in a post on Facebook on June 17.
He pointed out that the crew of the submarine includes a few renowned explorers, some of whom have made more than 30 dives to the RMS Titanic during the 1980s, like PH Nargeolet.
What you should know about the ship’s passengers is listed below.
Action Aviation’s chairman, Hamish Harding
Harding is listed as the CEO of Action Aviation, a company that provides aircraft to Fortune 100 companies, international organizations, heads of state, and celebrities and athletes, based on its site.
The British businessman is referred to as a billionaire in the British media even though he is not included in the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people.
Harding is also known for his daring feats as well as for his economic success.
His accomplishments include the fastest aerial circumnavigation of Earth via both poles, which he and a team completed in 2019 in just under 46 hours, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Harding was one of six people who participated in Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin trip to the edge of space in June.
Harding wrote on Facebook before the Titanic voyage that the mission was likely going to be the first and last human mission to the Titanic in 2023 due to climate.
After spending more than 2.5 miles with American explorer Victor Vescovo traveling over the Mariana Trench floor, 35,876 feet below the surface of the ocean, Harding acknowledged the risks and dangers of underwater excursions in an interview two years ago.
The only issue with that excursion, he continued, is that no other sub is capable of going down there to save you. It actually doesn’t matter if you have enough for four days. You are going away in case something goes bad.
Action Aviation’s managing director issued a statement on Tuesday thanking friends and coworkers for their thoughtful expressions of support and concern on behalf of the company and Harding’s family.
We look towards welcoming him to the house, Butler stated.

In addition to being the expedition’s pilot, Rush also serves as the company’s CEO.
