The 5 passengers missing on the Titanic Sub.

More details about the five occupants of the private submersible that vanished while on an expedition to study the Titanic’s ruins are becoming known as the search and rescue operation for it continues.

British businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his adolescent son Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet are among the confirmed travelers. Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate, the company that operates the boat, is also on deck.

The excursion was promoted by OceanGate as a chance to be one of the select few to witness the Titanic firsthand. According to the company’s website, the cost to reserve a place aboard the ship was $250,000. OceanGate, however, asserted that the journey was not simply a vacation and that each of its dives had a distinct scientific purpose.

Harding declared he was “proud” to be joining the expedition in a post on Facebook on June 17.

He pointed out that the crew of the submarine includes a few renowned explorers, some of whom have made more than 30 dives to the RMS Titanic during the 1980s, like PH Nargeolet.

What you should know about the ship’s passengers is listed below.

Action Aviation’s chairman, Hamish Harding

Harding is listed as the CEO of Action Aviation, a company that provides aircraft to Fortune 100 companies, international organizations, heads of state, and celebrities and athletes, based on its site.

The British businessman is referred to as a billionaire in the British media even though he is not included in the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people.

Harding is also known for his daring feats as well as for his economic success.

His accomplishments include the fastest aerial circumnavigation of Earth via both poles, which he and a team completed in 2019 in just under 46 hours, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Harding was one of six people who participated in Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin trip to the edge of space in June.

Harding wrote on Facebook before the Titanic voyage that the mission was likely going to be the first and last human mission to the Titanic in 2023 due to climate.

After spending more than 2.5 miles with American explorer Victor Vescovo traveling over the Mariana Trench floor, 35,876 feet below the surface of the ocean, Harding acknowledged the risks and dangers of underwater excursions in an interview two years ago.

The only issue with that excursion, he continued, is that no other sub is capable of going down there to save you. It actually doesn’t matter if you have enough for four days. You are going away in case something goes bad.

Action Aviation’s managing director issued a statement on Tuesday thanking friends and coworkers for their thoughtful expressions of support and concern on behalf of the company and Harding’s family.

We look towards welcoming him to the house, Butler stated.

According to the UK’s DailyMail, Suleman Dawood is 19 years old. According to the DH Group & Engro Corporation, a member of the Dawood Hercules Group, he likes reading science fiction, enjoying volleyball, and figuring out Rubik’s Cubes.

The Dawood family issued a request for everyone to pray for their safety and expressed gratitude for the care displayed by their coworkers and friends.

Paul-Henri Nargeolet, the greatest explorer on the Titanic

According to the OceanGate website, Nargeolet is recognized as an authority on the Titanic. According to the firm, he is referred to as “Titanic’s Greatest Explorer” and has led six expeditions to the ship’s wreckage site.

Additionally, he oversees underwater research for RMS Titanic, an American business that owns the salvage rights to the shipwreck, and manages exhibits showcasing ship artifacts. According to the company, about 30 million people have seen its displays.

G. Michael Harris, the creator of RMS Titanic Inc., stated in an interview with CBS News on Tuesday that he has known Nargeolet for the past 30 years and referred to him as an “all-around good guy.”

OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush

In addition to being the expedition’s pilot, Rush also serves as the company’s CEO.

According to Rush’s biography on OceanGate, when he received a DC-8 Type/Captain’s rating at the United Airlines Jet Training Institute at the age of 19, he became the youngest person to obtain a jet transport rating.

Rush graduated from Princeton University with a degree in aeronautical engineering in 1984, and the Berkeley Haas School of Business awarded him an MBA in 1989.
